Firmware / Software Engineer II (Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, integrate, validate, and test firmware and software features.
• Design automated tests, test plans, test scenarios, test steps, and supporting documentation.
• Develop and improve test automation tools, APIs, and test frameworks.
• Execute automated and manual firmware and software tests, review results, and perform root cause analysis.
• Modify test networks to simulate customer environments and support bug reproduction and resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipeline development while collaborating with firmware developers, architects, senior team members, and managers.

Requirements

• Experience developing and testing firmware and software for products and systems.
• Ability to perform hardware-software system integration and maintain program consistency.
• Understanding of automated and manual testing, test plans, code reviews, and quality processes.
• Ability to analyze test failures, resolve complex issues, and improve existing technologies and processes.
• Intermediate understanding of generative AI tools and thorough understanding of prompt engineering.
• Ability to mentor and technically lead junior team members.
