Automation Engineer (PHP)

Location: Hybrid in Bogotá, Mexico City, Quito, Lima, or Panama City

What you will do

• Design, build, test, document, and maintain chatbot flows, IVR configurations, and low-code automation workflows using n8n, Make, or equivalent tools.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs in PHP and manage releases through Git pull request workflows.
• Integrate Generative AI, dynamic knowledge bases, agentic automation, and prompt engineering into hirify.global’s AI platform.
• Translate CX Operations requirements into technical solutions, PRDs, and Confluence documentation across multiple countries and time zones.
• Support POCs and integration work for Amazon Connect, UJET, and other IVR or CCaaS platforms.
• Own delivery from backlog management and Scrum ceremonies through testing, release monitoring, and impact reporting.

Requirements

• PHP 8.x, RESTful API design and consumption, Postman, MySQL, Docker, and Git branching and release workflows.
• Experience with conversational AI and/or IVR platforms, Generative AI concepts, and agentic automation.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, PSR standards, PHP best practices, and API documentation standards.
• Experience in CX, fintech, or operations-focused technical teams working across countries and cultures.
• Fluent English is required. Strong written and verbal communication across time zones is expected.
• Ability to deliver automation solutions autonomously, test and document code, monitor releases, and report measurable business impact.

Nice to have

• Python, JavaScript, n8n or Make, Zendesk AI Agents, Talkdesk, Jira, Confluence, or AWS Lambda and CloudWatch.
• Amazon Connect or UJET experience.
• Spanish or Portuguese proficiency.
• Fintech, financial services, CX, or BPO-embedded technical experience.
