What you will do
- Own full-cycle recruitment for hardware engineering roles, from sourcing and screening through technical assessments and offers.
- Build proactive talent pipelines across embedded systems, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, RF and antenna, firmware, and manufacturing.
- Partner with hardware engineering leaders on team structures, technical requirements, workforce planning, and success profiles.
- Develop hardware-focused talent strategy and employer value propositions for competitive specialist markets.
- Build scalable recruitment practices and coach hiring managers on interviews, technical assessments, and hiring decisions.
- Track recruitment metrics, support diversity and inclusion initiatives, and represent at engineering events and university programmes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of talent acquisition experience with significant hardware engineering recruitment expertise.
- Experience hiring embedded, electrical, mechanical, RF, firmware, or related hardware specialists across multiple disciplines and regions.
- Strong technical literacy and the ability to discuss hardware stacks, design tools, and engineering trade-offs credibly.
- Experience delivering high-quality hires in fast-moving, high-volume, high-growth, or product-led technology environments.
- Strong data, reporting, communication, ownership, and stakeholder-partnering skills.
- Familiarity with employment law, immigration, and compliance across New Zealand; experience with Australia is desirable.
