Product Manager (Product Operations) (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid workstyle with office attendance required according to organizational guidelines and team objectives

What you will do

• Work with business stakeholders to identify operational challenges, analyze data, and prioritize product solutions based on business impact and regulatory requirements.
• Design end-to-end processes and customer experiences for account opening, identity verification, customer information updates, inquiries, and risk management.
• Translate use cases into product requirements documents and define user interface, data model, and business rule requirements.
• Partner with designers and engineers to drive products from design and implementation through testing and release.
• Define and monitor KPIs covering operational efficiency, error rates, customer inquiries, and costs.
• Continuously improve products and banking processes using data and feedback from business teams.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as a Product Manager or Systems Planning Manager.
• Experience with web services, mobile applications, or enterprise systems.
• Experience analyzing business processes and defining clear business and system requirements.
• Technical ability to understand API specifications and technical documentation and convert them into detailed product requirements.
• Native or business-level Japanese proficiency required.
• Willingness to communicate in English required; translation tools or generative AI may be used.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of banking operations, including account opening, eKYC, AML/CFT, lending, inheritance procedures, customer information updates, and customer support.
• Mobile application development or operations experience.
• Experience with growth-focused product initiatives, user-centered UI/UX design, or data-driven product development.
• Business-level English proficiency.
