Developer Relations Engineer (TypeScript)

Location: Fully remote and globally distributed; the role is based in New York, NY for regular in-person DevRel video shoots, local events, and presence in the New York tech ecosystem.

What you will do

• Publish compelling technical content, especially video, to help developers learn Supabase.
• Build real-world applications, demos, and tutorials using Supabase, Next.js, React, Stripe, and related tools.
• Speak at meetups, livestream builds, and represent Supabase across developer communities and events.
• Support contributors, answer questions, highlight community projects, and bring developer feedback to the company.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and growth teams to amplify launches and improve the onboarding experience.

Requirements

• Experience building full-stack applications and sharing technical knowledge.
• Strong engineering skills with JavaScript or TypeScript, Postgres, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Svelte, or Vue.
• Experience creating technical content in written or video formats.
• Comfort representing a product on camera, on stage, or online.
• Self-directed, organized, and interested in contributing to open source.
• Ability to be based in New York for regular in-person video shoots and local events.

Nice to have

• A growing audience on YouTube, Twitch, or Twitter.
• Prior experience in developer relations or open source.
• Experience using and enjoying Supabase.
