Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (AI)

Location: Remote role associated with Cairo, Egypt and Amman, Jordan

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing.
• Develop integration and end-to-end test suites to support high-quality releases.
• Implement performance and load testing with k6 or similar tools.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Git, Drone CI, Argo CD, and Kubernetes.
• Drive test coverage, defect reporting, and quality metrics across delivery teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to improve automation and testing practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software testing or automation engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL API testing, backend validation, and load testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments, containerized systems, Kubernetes, and distributed-system testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AI/ML systems, generative AI, AI agent testing, and model testing principles.
• Experience with data validation frameworks such as Great Expectations or Pandas.
• Awareness of MLOps, data drift, or model drift detection.
