What you will do
- Lead an autonomous engineering squad through technical strategy, architecture, delegation, delivery planning, and continuous improvement.
- Build production-quality Python and FastAPI backend systems, including high-performance REST APIs, asynchronous operations, database integrations, and scalable microservices.
- Design robust systems using relational databases, caching layers, message queues, and cloud-native patterns.
- Lead AWS deployments with a focus on security, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Coordinate integrated solutions with Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams.
- Mentor engineers, conduct technical interviews, support hiring, and report technical outcomes to leadership.
Requirements
- 9+ years of expert-level Python experience with strong backend development and asynchronous programming knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, dependency injection, validation, and async operations.
- Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript for full-stack integration.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying systems on AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway.
- Strong knowledge of system design, microservices, relational databases, data modeling, testing, TDD, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers in a collaborative environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and asynchronous task processing.
- Experience in fintech or payments.
