Tax Accountant Senior

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax reports and other compliance filings.
• Prepare income tax provisions and maintain tax records for multiple legal entities.
• Monitor tax law updates and advise management on issues affecting the business.
• Review proposals for tax implications and recommend actions to manage tax liability.
• Investigate discrepancies, reconcile year-end balances, and recover tax overpayments or request refunds.
• Assist with tax audits and maintain the integrity of internal tax reporting software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 2 years of Big Four experience or 3 years of industry experience.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and federal, state, and local income tax concepts.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems, maintain accuracy and confidentiality, and meet critical deadlines.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, and accounting software.
• Clear professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
