Senior Technical Recruiter - Engineering (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing and recruiting strategies for Engineering talent across Software Engineering, ML/AI Engineering, Infrastructure, and related technical disciplines.
• Build and maintain diverse, high-quality pipelines, including relationships with passive candidates and the broader engineering talent community.
• Partner with Engineering hiring managers and leaders to define requirements, advise on hiring strategy, and improve decision-making.
• Deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate experience and coordinate interviews, feedback, and communication.
• Track recruiting funnel metrics, analyze market trends in compensation and talent movement, and drive operational improvements.
• Partner with People and Engineering teams on onboarding and immigration support.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience focused on engineering roles within technology startups.
• Experience recruiting successfully in high-growth, fast-paced startup environments.
• Strong familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area technical and engineering talent market.
• Demonstrated ability to source passive candidates and build diverse, high-quality pipelines.
• Proficiency with modern recruiting tools and platforms, including Greenhouse, ModernLoop, or Gem.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, coaching, and constructive pushback skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• Experience recruiting across multiple engineering disciplines in a scaling organization.
• Existing network within the Bay Area engineering community.
