Director of Finance & Operations

Brown & Brown is an insurance company seeking a finance and operations leader for its Wholesale Division.

What you will do

• Own the timely and accurate month-end close process for defined regional profit centers.
• Design, implement, and monitor effective internal controls.
• Partner with regional and divisional leadership on financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and decision support.
• Prepare annual business plans, investment cases, budgets, forecasts, performance analyses, and leadership presentations.
• Develop financial models and provide standard and ad hoc analysis to improve productivity and business performance.
• Recruit, lead, coach, and develop the regional finance team while improving reporting and analysis processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Seven to ten years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Controllership or FP&A.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Experience delivering projects and initiatives with measurable financial results and a focus on organic growth.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior management in a dynamic environment.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice to have

• CPA and/or MBA.
