Director, Quality Assurance (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Bogotá, Colombia. Candidates must be based in Bogotá or willing to relocate.

What you will do

• Define and advance an AI-native quality engineering strategy across four offices.
• Lead the transition from manual-heavy testing to AI-augmented automation for web, mobile, and API products.
• Embed quality gates and shift-left practices across design, development, integration, and release stages.
• Establish methodology, governance frameworks, automation maturity models, and quality health metrics.
• Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed organization of 75+ QA professionals through QA Leads and Managers.
• Represent hirify.global’s quality engineering capabilities in client, business development, and delivery conversations.

Requirements

• Deep experience leading globally distributed quality engineering organizations at scale and delivering organizational transformation.
• Experience shifting testing from manual to automated and defining an AI-native quality engineering approach.
• Fluency with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered testing tools such as Testim, Mabl, or Applitools.
• Understanding of CI/CD integration, microservices architecture, and quality engineering throughout the SDLC.
• Experience managing leads and managers across multiple countries and time zones, with strong communication from individual contributor to C-suite level.
