Forward Deployed Engineer - Mixed Reality

Location: Washington, D.C., United States; on-site. Travel to client sites may be required up to 25%. Active US security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US security clearance are required.

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential equity, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Deploy builds, configure Mixed Reality devices, and build and test new hardware integrations.
• Architect, develop, debug, document, and deploy performant Mixed Reality applications.
• Troubleshoot issues across physical hardware, system, and application layers.
• Develop custom applications tailored to customer needs and work with large-scale data and AI.
• Collaborate with engineers on architecture and design decisions.
• Engage directly with customer stakeholders and drive projects from ideation through deployment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience preferred in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, Rust, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience or interest in large-scale data and solving technical business problems.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
• Active US security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
• Ability and interest to travel up to 25% to client sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mixed Reality hardware and immersive applications.
• Knowledge of Android tools, Unity, Gradle, CircleCI, and GitHub.
• Understanding of Defense and Intel industry product lifecycles.
