What you will do

  • Lead, structure, mentor, and scale the national financial analytics team of actuaries and analysts.
  • Define the evolution of financial models and tools for transparent and pass-through PBM pricing, alternative rebate structures, and value-based arrangements.
  • Drive innovation and scalability across proprietary analytics platforms, workflows, governance, and quality assurance.
  • Act as a senior subject matter expert on PBM financial structures, contract terms, pricing mechanics, and complex client negotiations.
  • Guide analyses of PBM contracts, pricing guarantees, rebate structures, utilization, specialty trends, and total cost of care.
  • Own pharmacy trend assumptions and actuarial forecasting methodologies while partnering with leadership, client engagement, and product teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, actuarial science, or a related analytical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmacy benefit consulting, PBM financial analysis, or healthcare financial strategy.
  • Deep expertise in PBM financial models, pricing structures, contract terms, and industry trends.
  • Strong actuarial and forecasting experience covering utilization, cost, rebate, specialty drug, biosimilar, and pharmacy trend assumptions.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing analytics or consulting teams and designing proprietary analytics platforms.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, familiarity with Tableau or Power BI, and experience with large datasets, pharmacy and medical claims data, and relational databases.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Actuarial designation such as ASA, FSA, or MAAA, or equivalent experience developing actuarial-based forecasting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of specialty drug management, biosimilars, and alternative funding programs.
