Location: Jalalabad, Nangarhar, Afghanistan; candidates must have legal eligibility to work in Afghanistan

What you will do
- Lead programme development initiatives and provide operational and managerial leadership across the Area Office.
- Supervise and guide Project Coordinators while supporting integrated programme delivery.
- Coordinate technical quality, project cycle management, monitoring and evaluation.
- Manage grants, donor standards, reporting compliance, and area-level BPO allocations.
- Provide strategic input to core competency strategies and approve needs assessments, development plans, and programme implementation.
- Coordinate with local and national authorities, stakeholders, and relevant forums while supporting emergency response mechanisms.
Requirements
- Senior programme management experience in a humanitarian or recovery context.
- Experience providing people leadership within a complex programme.
- Expertise in recovery, durable solutions programming, and programme development.
- Knowledge of the Afghanistan context and the Afghan humanitarian community response, including experience in complex and volatile environments.
- Fluent English, both written and verbal.
- Fluent Pashto and Dari, at least verbally.
