Principal Platform Engineer - Financial Cloud

What you will do

• Design deterministic, hermetic build pipelines and a content-addressable artifact registry with provenance, SLSA attestations, SBOMs, and artifact signing.
• Build dependency graph analysis, blast-radius calculation, selective test execution, and compatibility verification across more than 50 independently versioned modules.
• Define and operate the Version Set and Manifest model for validating, locking, and promoting module combinations through environment stages.
• Develop a GitOps deployment engine with site-aware configuration rendering, progressive canary-to-global rollouts, automatic rollback, and upgrade plan generation.
• Provide internal developer platform workflows for module onboarding, version publication, production promotion, deployment health, version drift, and compliance patch visibility.
• Automate compliance evidence, cold-start ordering, disaster-recovery and failover chaos testing, and phased infrastructure, data-layer, and application deployment targets.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure toolchain development supporting 500+ services or 100+ engineers.
• Hands-on experience designing or operating build systems, dependency graph tooling, version governance systems, BOM/Manifest models, compatibility matrices, or constraint-solving workflows.
• Production GitOps experience across multi-cluster or multi-region environments.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise, including custom Controllers, Operators, and CRDs for platform automation.
• Experience with artifact management and software supply-chain security, including content-addressable storage, SLSA attestation, SBOM generation, and artifact signing.
• Experience with regulated or multi-jurisdictional platforms, compliance automation, multi-site SaaS, internal developer platforms, or cryptocurrency and fintech infrastructure is valuable.

Nice to have

• Toolchain development experience in Rust, Go, or Python.
• Experience with Terraform or Pulumi infrastructure as code.
• Experience with OPA/Rego policy as code in deployment pipelines.
• Experience operating platforms across China, APAC, or EU regions with data-residency requirements.
• Familiarity with large-scale monorepo governance, SAT solvers, or package-manager dependency resolution algorithms.
