TL;DR
MiFID Compliance Officer (MiFID II/WAG 2018): Establishing and managing the compliance framework for investment services across Bybit’s European operations with an accent on Austrian and European capital markets regulation, internal policies, and regulatory reporting. Focus on translating complex requirements into controls, advising leadership, overseeing complaints handling, and monitoring regulatory developments.

Location: Vienna, Austria; based at the Vienna headquarters

What you will do

  • Establish, manage, and continuously improve the compliance framework under MiFID II and the Austrian Securities Supervision Act 2018 (WAG 2018).
  • Draft, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and regulatory guidance on investment services and activities.
  • Prepare compliance reports and present complex regulatory topics to senior management and the Board.
  • Oversee and advise on complaints-handling processes.
  • Monitor European capital markets regulation and update internal frameworks accordingly.

Requirements

  • University degree in Law and qualification as a legal professional.
  • At least 5 years of compliance experience at an investment firm, bank capital markets division, reputable law firm, or regulator.
  • Proven experience preparing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Deep knowledge of MiFID II, WAG 2018, investment services, and the broader regulatory framework.
  • Experience establishing or managing a MiFID II/WAG 2018 compliance framework is preferred.
  • Fluency in German and English is required.
