Software Engineer, Internship - Infrastructure

Builds software platforms for data-driven decisions and operations across public- and private-sector institutions, including sensitive infrastructure environments.

What you will do

• Develop shared infrastructure supporting large-scale data platforms and mission-critical workloads.
• Build backend, developer, frontend, or storage infrastructure within the Foundations organization.
• Contribute to a Kubernetes-based platform spanning hundreds of production clusters.
• Develop secure fleet-wide deployment and change-management systems for complex microservice suites.
• Build observability and alerting tools and infrastructure used by developers and technical users.
• Collaborate with engineers, users, and non-technical stakeholders while making independent technical decisions.

Requirements

• Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, frontend frameworks, and other technical tools.
• Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Expected graduation in 2028; this must be the final internship before graduation.
