SE Manager/Pre Sales, Enterprise (Tokyo, Japan)

What you will do

• Lead district-level pre-sales strategy and execution, supporting pipeline growth, competitive differentiation, and partner enablement.
• Connect enterprise storage and ecosystem solutions to measurable customer business outcomes in collaboration with account managers, specialists, and channel partners.
• Provide technical leadership on distributed storage architectures, file systems, and DAS, NAS, and SAN offerings.
• Own evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, technical presentations, and architecture discussions to secure technical wins.
• Translate customer requirements into innovative solutions and author RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses.
• Develop a high-performing SE organization while coordinating interoperability testing, partner planning, and technical marketing materials.

Requirements

• Pre-sales experience and 5+ years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
• Experience selling or supporting enterprise technology such as storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software.
• Deep knowledge of client/server and web-based computing, storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN, Linux, NFS, and distributed network environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-native transformation across on-premises environments, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
• Knowledge of VMware, LAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking, plus experience with distributed computing and storage subsystem architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, microservices, and modern web architectures.
• Experience with storage-intensive applications and structured databases such as SQL and Oracle.
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
