VP, Transportation (Ecommerce)

What you will do

• Set the multi-year transportation network strategy and translate it into executable quarterly plans.
• Design and continuously optimize carrier networks across small parcel, LTL, FTL, air, and ocean transportation.
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing transportation team.
• Negotiate contracts with national, regional, parcel, freight, air, and ocean carriers while owning vendor relationships and escalations.
• Partner with Product to improve rate-shopping algorithms, carrier selection, auditing, and rate reconciliation in the Virtual Carrier Network.
• Work with Product, Revenue, and Operations to reduce costs, improve delivery speed, strengthen vendor processes, and shape customer delivery offerings.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar senior leadership position.
• At least 5 years of experience in a comparable high-volume shipping or transportation environment.
• Direct experience managing high-volume small parcel shipping across multiple carriers.
• Deep understanding of carrier invoicing, surcharges, accessorials, and performance auditing.
• Experience with regional carriers, multiple transportation modes, zone skipping, and postal sharing programs.
• Strong people leadership, communication, analytical, prioritization, and multi-project management skills.
