What you will do
- Own system design and architecture decisions for services, balancing correctness, scalability, and delivery speed.
- Contribute hands-on to implementation, code reviews, engineering standards, and reliable end-to-end delivery.
- Mentor engineers, develop technical capabilities, and set technical direction within the domain.
- Build consensus and influence technical decisions across engineering, product, business, and adjacent teams.
- Design and deliver AI-powered systems, including LLM chatbots, RAG pipelines, OCR/document processing, and agentic workflows.
- Ensure production reliability, availability, and throughput while using Python and SQL to debug issues and analyze operational data.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience leading system design, maintaining high code quality, and delivering complex projects end to end.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, set technical direction, and influence outcomes across teams.
- Strong communication skills for aligning engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Solid foundations in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and API/service design.
- Strong Python proficiency for backend services, data pipelines, or AI/ML tooling, plus strong SQL skills for analyzing large operational datasets.
- Experience with high-availability, high-throughput production systems; fintech or another regulated, latency-sensitive domain is preferred.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with AI, RAG, LLM systems, or agentic architectures.
- Experience building or operating chatbots, retrieval pipelines, or tool-using agents.
- Experience with OCR pipelines or document-processing systems.
