Operations Engineer (Linux)

Location: Kraków, Poland — hybrid work with shift coverage for 24/7 operations, including day shifts and night on-call rotations.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot global cloud service operations.
• Implement logging, alerting, and monitoring to improve system health, performance, and reliability.
• Develop and extend automation tooling and deploy, operate, and maintain Linux systems in data center environments.
• Support hardware and software systems, upgrades, patching, and security updates.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, post-incident root cause analysis, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve system stability and implement security solutions.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking concepts, including TCP/IP, NAT, VLANs, and nftables firewalls.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, command-line proficiency, analytical thinking, and independent problem-solving ability.
• Experience with automation tools and infrastructure as code, preferably Ansible and AWX.
• Familiarity with the Grafana LGTM stack, including Grafana, Mimir, Loki, and Prometheus.
• Good verbal and written English skills at minimum B2 level; English is the primary language of collaboration.
• Availability for shift work supporting 24/7 operations, including night on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Debian or Ubuntu, Agile environments, GitLab CI/CD, PostgreSQL, Pacemaker, Corosync, containers, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and ISAE 3402 standards.
• CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
