Software Engineer (Developer Platform) (Cloud Infrastructure/Developer Platforms): Building and maintaining software toolchains, cloud services, APIs, and automation that improve software delivery across product teams with an accent on developer experience, platform integration, and infrastructure reliability. Focus on designing distributed platform services, improving availability and performance, and strengthening monitoring and emergency response.
Location: Singapore, Singapore; on-site

CSIT develops software products supporting Singapore’s national security interests, including counter-terrorism and computer network defence.
What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain features, services, APIs, and automation for the developer platform.
- Develop and maintain software toolchains and cloud infrastructure that support software development and deployment.
- Improve software delivery performance across the development stack.
- Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and product engineering teams to integrate services in the private cloud.
- Write clean code, participate in code reviews, and provide engineering feedback.
- Improve platform availability, performance, efficiency, monitoring, and emergency response.
Requirements
- Computer science background, related technical education, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience using a general-purpose programming language such as Python or Java.
- Singapore citizenship is required; only Singapore Citizens will be considered.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of API design principles and experience building and maintaining APIs.
- Experience with developer-facing systems, cloud services, infrastructure automation, DevOps, or SRE.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
