Location: Hybrid in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA

What you will do

  • Build and scale high-fidelity simulation environments for autonomous construction machines.
  • Develop simulation systems for machine-learning-based autonomy, evaluation, and safety validation.
  • Improve simulation realism and performance to better reflect real-world behavior and physical processes.
  • Help shape scene-generation and neural-rendering strategies.
  • Write production-quality C++ code and build real simulation content rather than prototypes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building modular, maintainable, production-quality systems in C++.
  • 2+ years of experience with a 3D engine or simulation framework such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Godot, Blender, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or Omniverse.
  • Background in engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science with demonstrated strength and interest in math and physics.
  • Passion for large-scale realistic simulation systems and hands-on experience developing simulation algorithms or content.
  • Experience evaluating systems and improving realism for autonomy stacks.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Rust or interest in learning it.
  • Robotics simulation background.
  • Experience with neural-rendering techniques such as Gaussian splats or NeRFs.
