Scientist II, Analytics & Metrology (Analytical Chemistry)

Location: Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00.

What you will do

• Conduct QA testing of drum, tubing, and molding products.
• Prepare and test samples using ICP-MS, LPC, TOC, ion chromatography, and GC-FID/MS.
• Develop raw-material and product testing methods and support R&D projects.
• Prepare analytical standards, reagent mixes, and production chemicals used in testing.
• Analyze and interpret test data, maintain test documentation, and ensure data quality and integrity.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot testing equipment, manage chemical waste safely, and respond to customer requests.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience; strong related internship or co-op experience may be considered.
• Strong scientific approach, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to follow and document standard operating procedures in a laboratory environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to provide accurate data to manufacturing in a timely manner.

Nice to have

• Experience with ICP-MS, LPC, TOC, ion chromatography, and GC-FID/MS.
• Experience with a LIMS such as LabWare.
• Previous laboratory experience.
• Exposure to an ISO 9000 work environment.
