Software Engineer (Data Discovery and Operations)

hirify.global is an agency under Singapore’s Ministry of Defence developing software and technical data solutions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and data processing pipelines.
• Build backend data services and frontend interfaces for data search, discovery, exploration, and utilization.
• Source, evaluate, and integrate state-of-the-art technologies, including AI components.
• Debug performance issues, participate in code and design reviews, and improve software architecture.
• Communicate technical solutions to diverse stakeholders and track developments in software and data engineering.

Requirements

• Only Singapore citizens will be considered.
• Degree or background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Spring Boot, microservices, REST API design and integration.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, search engines, Git, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes cloud-native infrastructure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks such as LangChain.
• Experience with Tableau.
