Senior Project Manager

Location: Wellington, New Zealand; hybrid work with 2 days in the office

What you will do

• Manage and lead a portfolio of projects for a government agency.
• Plan, coordinate, and control projects from inception to completion.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, quality, safety, risks, issues, and change.
• Define project objectives and deliverables with project teams.
• Monitor progress, allocate resources, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare status reports, communicate with stakeholders, and promote project management best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Proven experience in project and program management.
• Proficiency with project management methodologies, tools, and software.
• Agile experience and continuous professional learning.
• Required work rights for New Zealand.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
