Product Designer, New Grad

Location: New York, NY, United States; hybrid work with regular office presence.

Salary: $130,000–$135,000 per year, plus potential restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design execution of real product features with minimal supervision.
• Define product concepts, workflows, micro-interactions, and visual designs for complex software interfaces.
• Conduct informal user research through usability tests, contextual inquiry, customer interviews, and product usage metrics.
• Design and prototype interfaces using tools such as Figma.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, developers, and forward deployed engineers to build and refine products.
• Advocate for UX consistency through flexible and reusable UI components.

Requirements

• Planning to graduate in 2027.
• Portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Empathy for users and an iterative approach to design, feedback, critique, and validation.
• Ability to work independently, ask questions, and solve technically complex problems involving data-dense interfaces.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript is appreciated for collaborating with engineers.
