Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Singapore, Singapore; on-site. Only Singapore Citizens will be considered.

hirify.global is an agency under Singapore's Ministry of Defence that develops cybersecurity software systems.

What you will do

• Architect and build cybersecurity software for threat detection, investigation, analysis, and knowledge management.
• Design scalable, highly available system architectures with CI/CD.
• Develop high-performance microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Enhance system-health dashboards and telemetry collection to improve performance and resilience.
• Identify and prioritize requirements with cross-functional teams, operations users, and stakeholders.
• Track industry trends and emerging technologies to improve software and systems.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent background in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of software engineering experience.
• Programming proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
• Singapore Citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of SIEM systems.
• Frontend development with React.
• Backend development with FastAPI, Express, or Spring Boot.
• Databases and caching technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Microservices, REST API design, DevOps tools, Kubernetes, and containerization.
