ML & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Intern (AI)

Location: South San Francisco, SF Bay Area; in-person

Company

Develops physical AI systems that automate the construction of large-scale infrastructure and are commercially deployed in challenging outdoor environments.

What you will do

• Build and operate training, data, and evaluation infrastructure used by the software team.
• Work with GPU clusters, orchestration systems, and large-scale data pipelines.
• Instrument, monitor, and harden the infrastructure delivered.
• Test infrastructure on real robots at the office.
• Own a scoped project end-to-end with mentorship and present the results to the wider team.

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with AWS or GCP, containers, and CI/CD.
• Evidence of building infrastructure or data systems.
• Ability to take ownership with light supervision and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
• Legally authorized to complete an internship in the United States for 3 or 6 months.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes, Ray, Spark, Terraform, observability stacks, or ML experiment tooling.
