Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid work with in-person collaboration at the Milan HQ

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Own the Terraform infrastructure-as-code setup and maintain reproducible, auditable environments.
• Manage serverless and event-driven architectures, including deployment workflows, autoscaling, and resource optimization.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
• Strengthen monitoring, logging, alerting, security, and compliance across the infrastructure.
• Design disaster recovery and business continuity strategies while partnering with product and engineering teams on new features.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, backend engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and infrastructure-as-code, especially Terraform.
• Production experience with serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, or vector databases and experience designing CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort with Python, Bash, or a similar scripting or programming language for automation, plus an understanding of cloud networking, security, and cost management.
• Fluency in Italian and English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with another major cloud platform.
• Experience with AI-based coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Experience with AI and LLMs.
