Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Milan, Italy

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Own infrastructure as code with Terraform and maintain reproducible, auditable environments.
• Manage serverless and event-driven architectures, deployment workflows, autoscaling, and resource optimization.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that support fast and safe releases.
• Strengthen monitoring, logging, alerting, security, GDPR alignment, and ISO 27001-aligned practices.
• Design disaster recovery and business continuity strategies and partner with product and engineering teams on infrastructure needs.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, backend engineering, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, infrastructure as code, and Terraform.
• Production experience with serverless and event-driven architectures, database systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to use Python, Bash, or a similar scripting or programming language for automation.
• Understanding of cloud networking, security, and cost management, with an ownership-driven and pragmatic mindset.
• Fluency in Italian and English and availability for hybrid work in Milan are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with another major cloud platform.
• Experience using AI-based coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Experience with AI and large language models.
