Analog Electronic Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Munich, Germany; relocation assistance is available, including visa sponsorship where applicable.

Salary: €65,000–€82,500 per year, depending on location and technical merit.

What you will do

• Create schematics for analog and digital circuits, considering fault tolerance and radiation effects.
• Design and lay out printed circuit boards for the space environment using tools such as Altium.
• Simulate electronic circuits and create PCB data packs, including bills of materials.
• Perform the complete hardware test cycle, from prototype first power-up through flight-hardware acceptance testing.
• Create and adapt Python test scripts for test automation.
• Collaborate with mechanical and system engineers to define circuit-board capabilities and requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a similar field, or several years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience in electronics design or testing.
• Experience with circuit design and PCB layout using KiCad, Altium Designer, or similar tools.
• Hands-on laboratory experience, including soldering and prototype debugging.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of radiation effects and radiation-related failure mechanisms in electronic circuits.
• Knowledge of environmental qualification and standards such as ECSS, NASA-HBK, and MIL-STD for parts derating, board design, and interfaces.
