Tech Lead (Java)

Location: New York, United States; on-site

Base salary: $200,000–$240,000 per year for senior to leadership level.

What you will do

• Lead product teams and translate technical vision and strategy into actionable tasks.
• Make, justify, and drive technical decisions aligned with business objectives.
• Work directly with senior technical and business stakeholders and financial-sector clients.
• Establish development processes, quality frameworks, and routine automation.
• Design and deliver Java applications using Spring, databases, distributed systems, containers, and cloud deployments.
• Apply cloud capabilities across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in the financial domain.
• 5+ years leading teams in product development environments.
• Proficiency in Java, the Spring ecosystem, databases, and distributed applications.
• Experience with containerization and deployment technologies.
• Deep understanding of modern cloud providers, preferably Azure, and hybrid or multi-cloud setups.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
