Location: San Diego, California or Mountain View, California, United States
Base pay: $188,500–$255,000 in Southern California; $202,500–$274,000 in Mountain View, per year.

What you will do
- Architect, build, and evolve the One Logging system from edge log generation through ingestion, routing, and storage.
- Lead high-throughput logging components across AWS and GCP, including S3, Kinesis, CloudWatch, Splunk, and GCP log processing services.
- Drive pipeline and infrastructure cost optimization while preserving logging signal fidelity.
- Design and maintain Fluent Bit agents, Kubernetes sidecars and DaemonSets, and metadata enrichment workflows.
- Modernize legacy automation and extend developer onboarding through scalable services and plugins.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while collaborating with SRE, platform, governance, and product engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems, data pipelines, logging, or observability platforms.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience operating multi-TB/PB daily data pipelines and mission-critical, highly available systems.
- Strong Kubernetes, containerization, sidecar, DaemonSet, and Fluent Bit experience.
- Proficiency with AWS and GCP services and Splunk or an equivalent observability platform.
- Strong programming skills in Go, Java, Python, or a similar infrastructure language, plus technical leadership and mentorship experience.
