Salary: $88,000–$110,000 annually

's Science & Technology division develops quantum computing hardware and associated laboratory software.
What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain lab control, data acquisition, and real-time embedded software.
- Integrate software with laboratory hardware, sensors, controllers, and related systems.
- Develop unit tests and support integration through CI/CD toolchains.
- Define requirements and execute core projects with software leads and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Debug, profile, document, and support deployed software.
- Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement of development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, quantum information science, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of relevant technical experience.
- Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
- Must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen, due to U.S. Government national security requirements.
- Safety-sensitive placement requires a pre-employment drug test.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating hardware and software in engineering laboratory environments.
- Experience with laboratory equipment, sensors, controllers, quantum circuits, quantum algorithms, or trapped-ion quantum computers.
- Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD workflows, real-time or embedded software, and relational or key/value databases.
- Interest in compilers, LLVM, circuit optimization, or quantum algorithms.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
