2027 Internship – Core Operations Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Singapore

10-week internship program from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, with some flexibility if needed.

hirify.global is a financial technology firm operating proprietary trading and client-facing businesses across global financial markets.

What you will do

• Manage the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of an electronic trading system operating across hundreds of venues.
• Work in Linux environments to solve complex technical problems and support system reliability.
• Collaborate with traders and exchanges to understand market microstructure.
• Support external trading connections, counterparties, risk management, and system triage.
• Complete challenging Core Operations projects with guidance from senior mentors.

Requirements

• Be a rising junior or expect to be ready for full-time employment between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Have excellent working knowledge of Linux environments.
• Be competent in at least one programming language, preferably Python, Bash, Perl, or Go.
• Stay calm under pressure in high-stress, time-sensitive environments.
• Show interest in high-transaction environments, low-latency systems, innovative technologies, and financial markets.
• Have strong communication skills and a strong academic record.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial systems or knowledge of global financial markets.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with configuration management platforms such as Ansible, Puppet, or Salt.
• Knowledge of TCP and UDP networking.
