Operations & Reliability Manager (Quantum Computing)

Salary: €72,000–€81,000 annual base salary

hirify.global builds quantum computers in-house using a carbon-nanotube qubit platform and operates a growing production facility in Paris.

What you will do

• Build, lead, and grow the Operations team across facility and equipment operations.
• Own facility and equipment availability, operational KPIs, escalation processes, and day-to-day operating rhythms.
• Develop preventive-maintenance programs for cryostats, cleanroom tools, and facility systems, progressing toward condition-based and predictive maintenance.
• Build monitoring dashboards and manage the facility and equipment data layer with the Software team.
• Coordinate service providers and contractors, including budgets, quality, commissioning, and operational readiness for new facilities.
• Establish on-call and future 3x8 shift coverage, safety practices, emergency response, SOPs, and runbooks.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in operations, maintenance, or reliability within a technically demanding, critical-uptime environment.
• Significant experience leading and growing technical teams and building preventive-maintenance programs.
• Experience owning an operations or facility budget and managing external contractors and suppliers.
• Ability to manage facility and equipment data layers, operational KPIs, and software-enabled monitoring.
• Understanding of power, water, gas, HVAC, cooling-water, and cryogenic systems, with the ability to learn cryogenics and cleanroom requirements quickly.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, required.

Nice to have

• Reliability leadership experience in semiconductor or microelectronics fabs, datacenters, pharma or biotech cleanrooms, or scientific infrastructure.
• Experience with CMMS, facility monitoring, building-automation systems, GTB, or SCADA.
• Experience running on-call or 3x8 shift coverage and commissioning new facilities or production lines.
• Exposure to cryogenics, vacuum systems, cleanrooms, safety, or EHS in environments with gases, chemicals, or high voltage.
