TL;DR
Business Analyst Intern - Supply Chain (Aerospace): Analyzing supply chain and procurement data, preparing performance reports, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs with an accent on inventory, delivery, and process analysis. Focus on mapping workflows, evaluating procurement trends, and coordinating supply chain improvements across production, sales, and finance.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand. New Zealand office applicants must meet nationality eligibility requirements for access to ITAR-regulated equipment and data.

What you will do

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain and procurement data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations covering inventory, delivery times, costs, and supply chain performance.
  • Use Excel, ERP systems, and supply chain software to organize and analyze operational data.
  • Support process mapping, documentation, and implementation of improved tools, technologies, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and finance teams to resolve supply chain challenges and align activities with business goals.
  • Conduct market research, evaluate pricing benchmarks, and recommend procurement efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Knowledge of MRP or ERP systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, prioritization, multitasking, and status-reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • For the New Zealand office, eligibility to access ITAR-regulated equipment and data is required; nationality checks will be conducted before an offer.

Nice to have

  • Associate's degree and 3+ years of purchasing or inventory planning experience.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supply chain or procurement internship or project experience.
