Senior Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Latvia; hybrid/remote with flexible working hours and an office in Teodors / Jaunā Teika.

Compensation: €4K–€6.5K per month plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of security and compliance frameworks, policies, and programs.
• Drive incident response, breach investigations, vulnerability assessment workflows, and mitigation planning.
• Implement and maintain SIEM, DLP, SAST/DAST, and identity and access management solutions.
• Partner with Engineering and DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, data flow mapping, risk assessments, and customer-facing security reviews.
• Manage the bug bounty program, coordinate with external researchers, and deliver security awareness training.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading cybersecurity programs in a technology-focused organization.
• Strong understanding of security operations, security tooling, and secure development life cycles.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and related regulatory and audit practices.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Vanta, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Rapid7, and Snyk.
• Ability to participate in customer security reviews and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
