Location: Cotonou, Benin Republic; onsite field-based role with approximately 70% of the time spent in the field.

What you will do
- Assess portfolio performance, identify customers at risk of default, classify portfolio reflags, and report risk indicators and performance metrics.
- Conduct internal audits, identify process gaps, assess compliance with underwriting and collection policies, and recommend risk mitigation actions.
- Design and implement field-based collection strategies, including KYC, underwriting, portfolio segmentation, and account allocation.
- Review credit and portfolio management policies and recommend updates based on market trends and field findings.
- Manage field pilots, coordinate stakeholders, and track delivery against success metrics.
- Oversee timely fraud investigations, prepare field reports, and conduct industry research to improve sales and collections.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, risk management, or a related business field.
- More than 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in audit, risk, or credit, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of data collection and field surveys.
- Strong planning, organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage people, stakeholders, projects, and operational process improvements.
- Willingness to spend 70% of working time in the field in Benin.
