Tech Lead Manager (AI)

Location: On-site in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Salary: $125,000–$165,000 base salary per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the Answer Engine Insights roadmap with the CTO, Head of Engineering, product leadership, and cross-functional partners.
• Manage and develop a team of 8–10 engineers, including hiring, interview loops, performance calibration, and expectation-setting.
• Drive architecture and technical decisions for scalable LLM scrapers, high-cardinality analytics data models, inference systems, and frontend analytics experiences.
• Write and review code on the highest-leverage parts of the platform.
• Own engineering escalations for enterprise customers and represent the team in sales, customer success, and executive discussions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2 years managing or tech-leading a team.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and analytics infrastructure for large volumes of structured and semi-structured data.
• Experience scraping the web at scale, bypassing bot detection, using mobile or residential proxies, and reverse engineering web systems.
• Strong Postgres and ClickHouse skills, including indexes, query plans, time-series data models, and migrations.
• Experience building frontend analytics experiences and a strong product sense for B2B SaaS.
• Experience hiring senior individual contributors, giving direct feedback, and contributing as a hands-on engineer while managing a team.
