Specialist, Data Analytics - Technical Field Data (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; daily in-person attendance is required, with occasional travel.

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Analyze vehicle, fleet, telemetry, survey, social media, forum, call-center, and customer feedback data to identify emerging field and quality issues.
• Support root cause analysis across powertrain, high-voltage battery, connected vehicle, software, and full-vehicle systems.
• Define strategies for collecting, organizing, integrating, and monitoring large-scale connected-vehicle data.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions for anomaly detection, failure prediction, and sentiment analysis.
• Build robust data pipelines and enable VIN-level Vehicle 360 lifecycle traceability.
• Partner with vehicle engineering, connected-vehicle, service, warranty, and customer-support teams to translate insights into engineering actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical data processing, preferably in vehicle manufacturing, automotive engineering, quality, or field issue analysis.
• Hands-on experience with large datasets and analytics tools including Databricks, SQL, Python, and cloud platforms.
• Experience running JavaScript, Python, SQL, and HTML/CSS, and deploying AI-based data-processing solutions.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, data warehouses, AWS or Azure services, and Databricks.
• Experience with Power BI and PowerApps, strong cross-functional communication, and the ability to translate data insights into engineering actions.

Nice to have

• Experience in EV or connected-vehicle environments.
• Automotive supplier or vehicle-manufacturer experience.
