VP of Research (AI)

Location: London; Palo Alto. The role is based in London and requires being in the office 3+ days per week, ideally full-time.

hirify.global is an AI lab developing causal, multimodal general world models that learn to predict and interact with the world over long horizons, with applications across robotics, science, healthcare, education, gaming, and defense.

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Frontier Research group, including hiring, mentoring, and developing researchers at every level.
• Own and drive the research agenda across world simulation, multimodality, robotics, and multi-agent learning.
• Define and communicate a research vision that advances hirify.global’s position in world models and attracts leading research talent.
• Set the research roadmap and publication strategy.
• Represent hirify.global’s research externally and collaborate with VP-level leaders across Foundation Models, ML Platform, and Applied AI.

Requirements

• 10+ years of research experience with a strong publication record at leading machine learning venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or CVPR.
• Deep technical expertise in at least one of generative video models, world models, multimodal learning, reinforcement learning, or robotics.
• Experience leading and growing research teams and mentoring researchers at all levels.
• Ability to set a research vision that shapes a field and attracts talent.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment and partnering across research and engineering disciplines.
• Willingness to work from the London office 3+ days per week.
