System Software Engineer (Embedded C/C++)

What you will do

• Write clear, reliable, and maintainable embedded software and firmware in C/C++.
• Design new features, adapt software to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, correct errors, and improve performance.
• Debug complex low-level issues across hardware and software interfaces, including factory, vendor, and third-party laboratory environments.
• Develop unit tests with GTest and contribute to continuous software quality improvements.
• Collaborate with software engineering, product management, QA, UX, hardware, radio, acoustics, WiFi, and Bluetooth specialists.
• Apply Agile methodologies and help drive technical improvements and innovation.

Requirements

• Embedded systems programming experience in C/C++.
• Knowledge of embedded Linux architecture and development environments.
• Knowledge of hardware-level communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, I2S, UART, USB, and Bluetooth.
• Experience developing performance-critical software for resource-constrained environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work with people from different cultures, locations, and time zones.

Nice to have

• BS or MS in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline, with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with WiFi hardware integration, embedded Linux, and real-time operating systems.
• Hands-on laboratory testing and debugging of embedded systems.
• Linux Kernel and U-Boot programming and configuration experience.
• Experience with modern embedded software development processes, including design, unit testing, continuous integration, and version control.
