What you will do

• Design and ship mechanical systems from initial sketches through final manufactured parts.
• Specify systems from first principles and select appropriate components.
• Build and evaluate prototypes using additive manufacturing, CNC machining, and laser cutting.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability using DFM, CAD, and FEA.
• Work with minimal outside direction in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience or graduate-level education in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• High proficiency in DFM, CAD, and FEA; Fusion 360 is preferred.
• High proficiency with rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to complete component selection, prototyping, and manufacturing optimization.
• Ability to work on-site in the Bay Area.

Nice to have

• Class III medical device experience.
• Industrial design and engineering experience.
