Location: Bay Area, United States; on-site
Salary: $120,000–$190,000 per year, excluding equity
Company
is developing organ-scale reversible cryopreservation technology to preserve donated organs and support future whole-body cryopreservation.
What you will do
- Build N-of-1 hardware and software stacks for cryopreserving whole organisms.
- Own mechanical design, fabrication, rapid prototyping, and 3D printing.
- Design electrical circuits from protoboard through PCB and lead hardware bring-up.
- Develop software architecture and object-oriented applications in C++ and Python.
- Integrate with neuroscience and biology research efforts.
- Demonstrate the feasibility of whole-body reversible cryopreservation in rodents.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with mechanical design and fabrication, including rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
- Experience designing electrical circuits from protoboard to PCB.
- Experience with object-oriented programming in C++ and Python.
- Track record of exceptional engineering and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary neuroscience and biology environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Bay Area.
Nice to have
- Experience with fluidic circuits, heat exchange, or perfusion systems.
- Experience working in a research biology context.
