Location: KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa; on-site distribution center role

What you will do
- Manage inventory organization, stock accuracy, pickable locations, replenishment, cycle counts, and stock takes across the distribution center.
- Implement inventory policies, procedures, systems, and improvement processes to reduce costs and optimize working capital.
- Supervise stock movements, project stock moves, pick-fail investigations, inventory audits, and daily operational reporting.
- Develop inventory planning models, manage product transitions and inventory exposure, and identify slow-moving, dead, and expired stock.
- Lead process improvement and automation through data-driven decisions, while managing inventory risks, stock density, and potential theft hotspots.
- Lead and develop the operations team through communication, coaching, appraisals, and performance management while collaborating with department heads, Finance, and Head Office.
Requirements
- Relevant inventory qualification at degree or diploma level.
- 5–7 years of inventory management experience, including at least 3 years at management level.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, as well as WMS systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and inventory-control skills.
- Willingness to work overtime when required; overtime is unpaid due to the seniority of the position.
