Senior or Staff Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build customer-facing AI-powered product features that are native, fast, and intuitive.
• Partner with product and design to prototype and iterate on intelligent workflows and user interactions.
• Design backend services for natural language interfaces, smart suggestions, and agentic systems.
• Optimize prompts, shape model behaviour, and improve model evaluation pipelines.
• Build and evolve internal and external agent platforms.
• Experiment, iterate, and improve AI systems running in production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building customer-facing products at a high-quality software company.
• Strong track record delivering complex, end-to-end product features with visible impact.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, AI safety and security practices, RAG architectures, and model evaluation.
• Strong product and engineering judgment, with the ability to balance speed, quality, and pragmatism.
• Ability to independently shape problems, drive solutions, and operate in ambiguous environments.
• Experience with backend or platform technologies such as Node, Go, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Postgres is relevant; hiring is not limited to specific tools.
