Site Reliability Engineer (AWS/Terraform): Building and operating scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud systems for a communications platform with an accent on infrastructure automation, observability, and incident response. Focus on designing reliable architectures, automating deployments with Terraform and Ansible, and solving production issues through monitoring, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
Base salary: Canada Intermediate CAD $113,400–$162,000 annually; Canada Senior CAD $158,000–$207,000 annually; Canada Staff CAD $200,400–$248,000 annually.

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and highly available infrastructure and services.
- Develop infrastructure automation and cloud deployment workflows using Terraform, Ansible, and AWS.
- Participate in on-call support, troubleshoot production incidents, lead resolution, and conduct post-mortems.
- Implement and improve monitoring, logging, metrics, and other observability solutions.
- Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, product teams, and leadership to improve reliability from development through production.
- Apply AI tools throughout design, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and operational analysis.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or another operationally focused role.
- Strong understanding of reliability, scalability, performance optimization, and production operations.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Experience handling production incidents, analyzing root causes, and implementing long-term fixes.
- Experience with scripting, automation, logging, metrics, and monitoring tools.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership teams.
