Payroll Implementation Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in London, with two days per week in the office and occasional travel to customer sites for training and launch support.

Salary: £50,000–£60,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end payroll implementations from discovery and system configuration through parallel runs, training, and go-live.
• Configure and troubleshoot UK payroll setups, including GL, pensions, and RTI processing.
• Identify and implement improvements to payroll implementation processes.
• Partner with Project Managers, Solutions Architects, product engineers, and payroll bureau colleagues.
• Provide on-site customer support for training and launches alongside remote delivery.
• Use AI tools for reconciliation, communication, and everyday implementation work.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience implementing UK payroll systems end-to-end.
• Deep working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processing.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and comfort working with ambiguity.
• High attention to detail and strong accountability.
• Comfort using AI in spreadsheets, communications, and reconciliation.

Nice to have

• CIPP or equivalent qualification, or progress toward one.
