QA Engineer (Playwright)

What you will do

• Design, configure, and scale Playwright regression automation for billing journeys, invoices, payment routing, and platform interfaces.
• Run and debug daily test suites using traces, video recordings, and artifacts; review QA repository pull requests and maintain framework documentation.
• Create functional, integration, regression, smoke, and sanity test plans from product designs, technical requirements, and ambiguous user stories.
• Use advanced SQL for schema validation, database integrity checks, transactional ledger analysis, and application and batch-log audits.
• Verify REST APIs, payload contracts, authorization protocols, webhooks, retries, vendor integrations, and compatibility with third-party financial systems.
• Monitor application health, investigate failed or delayed finance jobs, and communicate defects with reproducible technical and business context.

Requirements

• Professional experience creating, running, configuring, and scaling Playwright web automation scripts.
• Strong relational database profiling skills and experience writing complex SQL queries, joins, and aggregates for transactional data.
• Experience testing REST APIs, HTTP response codes, validation payloads, and backend integrations.
• Strong manual testing, exploratory testing, requirements analysis, web inspection, analytical, and numerical reasoning skills.
• Experience integrating AI tools such as Cursor or Copilot into the QA workflow, with human verification of generated code and financial calculations.
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience in software quality assurance, computer programming, or systems engineering.

Nice to have

• ISTQB/ISEB QA, Partner PXA, Java, Spring, or cloud infrastructure certifications.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or cloud-based device testing platforms such as Sauce Labs.
• Knowledge of transactional pipelines, POS systems, ledger logic, VAT, regional tax rules, or financial data consistency.
• Experience with Selenium, Jasmine, Cucumber, greenfield products, or early-stage financial software infrastructure.
